Frequently Asked Questions

I’m an adult — is it too late to learn piano?

No. Adults have an advantage children don’t: you chose to learn, and you know what you want. Your fingers may take a little longer, but your mind will understand faster. The real cost isn’t your age — it’s the time you set aside for the piano in your day.

How long until I can play with both hands together?

That’s exactly the question no one can honestly answer with a date. Some students’ hands become independent within weeks, others take months. It isn’t hard — what matters is taking the right steps, because rushing here builds bad habits that are hard to break.

Do I need a piano at home?

You need something to practice on, but not necessarily a real piano at first. A keyboard with full-size (or slightly smaller) touch-sensitive keys is plenty to get started.

What age can children start?

There’s no single number that fits every child; the minimum age is decided after meeting and assessing the child. More important than age: their physical ability and finger control, being able to focus for fifteen minutes, and having someone at home to follow up on practice. Starting a child too early often backfires. That’s why I’ll give you my honest opinion, even if it’s to wait a little.

Where do lessons take place, and how long are they?

At your home in Riyadh, or online. A standard lesson is 45 minutes, 30 minutes for young children, and up to an hour for adults.

Can I try a lesson first?

Yes, there’s a 30-minute online or 45-minute in-person trial lesson, at a reduced price and paid in advance. If you then sign up for any package, it counts as the first lesson. Lessons & packages policy details
